Chronic Pain Management Clinic

We all feel pain in different ways, so you may find it difficult to describe the type of pain you’re feeling to others. You can also experience more than one type of pain at a time, which only adds to the difficulty. Get the optimum resolutions for your Chronic Pain; Consult with Dr. Leon Rivlin to mitigate your age-old chronic pain(s).

Chronic pain may have several reasons. Different conditions being accompanied by aging can weaken your muscles. In particular nerve damage or some other nerve-related injuries that never heal properly may result in chronic pain.

For example, there might be several reasons for lower back pain such as

  • Bad seating posture
  • Wrong-way of exercise
  • Carrying or lifting heavy objects for long
  • Excess body weight may cause pressure on your knees and lower back
  • Wearing heels regularly
  • A spinal injury that never got healed properly
  • Degenerative changes due to your age
  • Using poor mattress for sleeping
  • Some accidental injury
  • Excessive physical training

Apart from these factors, there might be some diseases that turn out to be the primary reason for chronic pain. Arthritis (both rheumatoid and osteoarthritis), Radiculopathy, fibromyalgia are the most common culprits.

Radiculopathy is a medical condition that brings numbness, weakness, or pain to the spine. This can take place at any part of the spine, but most likely in the lower back and neck.

Fibromyalgia, on the other hand, is a disorder that causes pain, muscle fatigue, and certain mood issues. As per research, Fibromyalgia may be increased by mental stress and affect your brain.

Strong medications and proper treatment can make these situations better.

Deadly ailments like cancer, multiple sclerosis, AIDS, and ulcers may also be the reason for pain.
